Festival presentation
The Merge Film Festival is Switzerland's first film festival dedicated to artificial intelligence.
Its first edition, from 1 to 4 October 2026 at Cinema Lux in Massagno, brought four days of screenings, masterclasses and public talks.
An opportunity to question the role of artificial intelligence in creative processes and in the wider transformation of our relationship with images.
Merge was born out of the need to give space to a new form of cinematic language, while also serving as a space for reflection on the cultural phenomenon of artificial intelligence. A transformation that is challenging our relationship with reality.
